Sharjah24: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), Khorfakkan Branch, organized a heritage event entitled "Al-Fursad", in coinciding with the summer season. Sharjah 24 news website offered a real window to shed light on the event by interviewing Khaled Al Shehhi, director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage branch in Khorfakkan, who spared no efforts in stating exclusively about the event.
Al Shehhi affirmed the institute’s keenness to organize events that consolidate the folklore with all its components in the memory of generations.
He stated in statements to Sharjah 24 on the sidelines of the Institute's organization of a heritage event ,that the event came under the title "Al-Fursad", and celebrated the tree known as the mulberry.
Al-Shehhi added that a crowd of experts in heritage participated in the event, which was held in the old market, "Souk Sharq", in addition to a number of officials from government departments and people interested in heritage.
The event included a discussion session on the mulberry tree and its derivatives, a drawing and coloring workshop for children, in addition to a mini-exhibition on dyeing clothes with colors derived from the mulberry fruits.
