Sharjah24: The activities of the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), were launched for the first time in two locations in Khorfakkan, the Heritage Village and Al Sedra Heritage District, to bring together the uniqueness of the past with the modernity and prosperity of the present.
Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, inaugurated the 19th edition of the SHD in Khorfakkan, in the presence of Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Al Ihsan Charity Association, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, President of the SIH, and Dr. Rashid Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan.

Khaled Al Shehhi, Director of the SIH's branch in Khorfakkan, stated that the ceremony started with a tour of the heritage village, which included pavilions local and federal government departments, private sector institutions, productive sectors families, and traditional handicraft sections, in addition to private museums.

In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", he added that this year's SHD is held in two locations for the first time in Khorfakkan, namely the Heritage Village and the Al Sedra Heritage District.

Al Shehhi explained that the activities will continue at the two sites daily until March 20 and include many cultural, heritage, and artistic activities that combine Emirati folklore with Arab and foreign folklore presented by artistic troupes from several countries.
