His Excellency Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, chaired on Tuesday, a coordination meeting for all government departments in the city, in the presence of Eng. Fawzia Rashid Al Qadi, Director of the Municipality, and Khaled Al Shehhi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage Branch in Khorfakkan.
The meeting, which was held at the council's headquarters, discussed Khorfakkan's preparations for the launch of the activities of the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days, which are held under the slogan "Heritage and the Future".
Khaled Al Shehhi, director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage Branch, said in statements to Sharjah 24 that the activities of the Sharjah Heritage Days will start in Khorfakkan, next March 16, for a period of 5 consecutive days.
He added that the new events this year are being held in two locations: the Heritage Village opposite the Corniche, and the Al Sidra Heritage Quarter, pointing to a program full of surprises, performances and activities that meet the needs of the public of all categories and age groups.
