Sharjah24: The Board of Trustees of Al Qasimia University (AQU), during its seventh regular meeting, which was held at the university’s headquarters in Sharjah on Wednesday morning, praised the approval of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish the Educational Endowment Investment Fund and commended His Highness’ continuous and unlimited support to university’s vision and achieve its global message.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Jamal Al Tarifi President of Al Qasimia University (AQU), which he was expressed his welcome to the members of the Board of Trustees and highly praised the efforts of the Board of Trustees and the efforts of the university administration and their continuous efforts to take care of the affairs of the university and its academic programmes and their development in various academic and administrative fields.
His Excellency Prof. Awwad Al-Khalaf, President of the University, presented the annual report on the performance of the university during the year 2021-2022, and briefed the council on a number of the university’s achievements in various fields, including the university’s introduction of new academic programmes, and the university’s obtaining membership in the Council of the Federation of Business Administration Faculties and Programs ACBSP, organising a number of international scientific conferences.
The report also dealt with the financial savings achieved in the university’s budget as a result of the efficient exploitation of its resources and material capabilities, in addition to the university’s media presence on various communication platforms, and the university concluded a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding with local and international institutions in order to enhance its presence in the local and international communities.
President of Al Qasimia University reviewed the annual report of the university’s strategic plan for the year 2021-2022, in addition to the future academic and administrative plans that the university will work on during the coming period, in a way that contributes to achieving its vision and global mission.
The council also discussed, during its meeting, a number of topics related to various academic and administrative aspects of the university. It approved the graduation of university students who completed the graduation requirements for undergraduate programs in the spring semester 2021-2022, along with a number of faculty member promotions, and approved a number of decisions that will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the university and its continued progress.
