After welcoming the visiting Spanish delegation, His Excellency Professor Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, stressed the importance of enhancing academic cooperation and benefiting from the advantages of both Al Qasimia University and the Spanish University of Nabrija in different disciplines to achieve the vision of the founder of Al Qasimia University, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to attract students from all over the world, in addition to preserving and disseminating the Arabic language.
Prof. Dr. Awwad Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, gave a full explanation of the university’s faculties and specializations, and the scientific and research elements that they have to qualify graduates of more than 103 nationalities from different countries of the world, and provide them with the best knowledge, science and expertise necessary to join the labour market, especially in light of the scholarship system in place.
Juan Antonio, Director General of Business Development at the Spanish University of Nebrija, stressed the importance of the meeting in strengthening the academic process, exchanging the best experiences and benefiting from the capabilities and expertise of both sides, especially in the field of manuscripts and teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
The delegation toured a number of educational facilities and the House of Islamic Manuscripts and reviewed the important scientific documents, in addition to visiting the university's library.
At the end of the visit, the delegation of the Spanish University of Nebrija expressed their admiration for Al Qasimia University, its unique architectural style, the House of Islamic Manuscripts, and the rare historical documents collected by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, during his visits to diffirent countries of the world, and gifted them to the House, stressing the importance of strengthening joint cooperation.
