Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the University honoured the winners of the Al Qasimia University Award for Islamic Economics Research in its 2nd session.
The winners were honored in a ceremony organized at the university's headquarters in Sharjah, after the award's scientific and organizational committee received 132 papers at the Sharjah Center for Islamic Economics, distributed in the three areas of the award, Islamic jurisprudence, law, and Islamic economics.
His Excellency Professor Jamal Al-Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, and His Excellency Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Ali Al-Mansoori, Director of the Sharjah Center for Islamic Economics, honored the winners.
The list of researchers included honoring Dr. Maha Khalil Shehadeh, from Jordan, Dr. Nidal Hamdan Al-Masri and Professor Muhammad Ahmad Al-Agha, from Palestine, Prof. Dr. Abdel Salam Balaji, from Morocco, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Abdel Wahab from the UAE, and Dr. Heidi Issa Hassan, from Egypt .
His Excellency Jamal Al-Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, congratulated winners, stressing that their research represents a qualitative addition to all studies that support the university's orientations in finding the scientific base for the development of Islamic economics research in all its fields.
His Excellency Prof. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, pointed out the importance of the award launched by the university through one of its research centers represented in the Islamic Economics Research Center and its position, and stressed that the award represents one of the tools to achieve the goals of the center, because it is the practical application of the knowledge production obtained by students among the scholars.
