Sharjah 24: During the holy month of Ramadan, Dr. Adil Sajwani, Family Medicine Specialist Doctor, presents his health programme "Your Doctor in Ramadan", which broadcasts at 5 PM on “Sharjah 24”.
In the ninth episode of "Your Doctor in Ramadan", Dr. Adel Al Sajwani spoke about keto diet in the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Adel said that many people, in order to lose a certain amount of weight, do the keto diet, which is based on reducing sugars, starches and carbohydrates and increasing the proportion of protein and fats.
He pointed out that this diet is good, but it must be under the supervision of a doctor and is not suitable for all members of society, so Dr. Al-Sajwany emphasises the moderation of eating in the month of Ramadan and it must be balanced, and the importance of reducing red meat because it contains a high percentage of uric acid.
