Accreditation of Kuwait, AlQassimi Hospital to receive Arab Board

Sharjah24: The Arab Board of Medical Specialties concerned with developing health services by qualifying health professionals with high professional and scientific competencies has approved the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Kuwait Hospital and Al Qassimi Hospitalin Sharjah affiliated with the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, to obtain the Arab Board under the supervision of the Training and Development Center.
The Foundation seeks to strengthen the health system by providing medical education programmes according to the highest quality standards in order to enrich the health care workforce in the country with highly skilled and qualified doctors who are qualified to provide safe health care.

Dr. Issa Al-Moalami, Assistant Director of Kuwait Hospital for Medical and Technical Affairs, confirmed that the Arab Board of Medical Specialization's accreditation of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care as a recognized center for obtaining the Arab Board is a qualitative addition to the hospital's records, and a fruit of the efforts of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services.

Dr. Bassam Hammad, Consultant Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Kuwait Hospital, explained that the duration of the training programme is up to four years to obtain the degree of anesthesiologist and intensive care specialist. In October of the year 2020, a group of three doctors joined the training programme, while the second batch, which Last year 2021 launched four doctors.
