Sharjah24:The Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Sharjah (UoS) held its first advisory council (virtually) in the presence of Dr Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the UoS, and Hoor Al-Qasimi, President and Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, to discuss the faculty's development plan and academic programmes, as well as proposals to improve its role in community service.
The Chancellor emphasised the University's commitment to benefit from the Advisory Council's knowledge in his opening remarks, which adds to the faculty's ongoing growth and improves its standing locally and globally.

He thanked His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University, for his unwavering support of the university, which has grown to be one of the best in the country and has achieved numerous international accomplishments in scientific research and sustainability.
Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi then chaired the advisory council session, during which she commended the faculty's work in providing a variety of programmes in fine arts and design, notably in fashion design, where it has become a global leader.
Through their involvement in the discussions, council members provided a number of recommendations at this meeting.
