AQU’s College of Sharia elects Al Mulla as its chairman

Sharjah24: In the first meeting held at the headquarters of Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah, the Consultative Council of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at AQU elected, for the academic year 2021-2022, , His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al Mulla, lawyer and teacher at the Judicial Institute, as chairman of the council.
The convening of the consultative council comes within AQU’s keenness to attract societal members that work to enhance its objectives in developing the relationship with the external community.

The consultative council includes in its membership, besides His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al Mulla, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International ; His Excellency Talib Ibrahim Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Endowments in Sharjah, and His Excellency Dr. Musa Khoury Head of Internal Sharia Audit - Dubai Islamic Bank. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, welcomed the members of the consultative council, highlighted the importance of the council’s pivotal role to work in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Then the members of the consultative council chose Dr. Ibrahim Al Mulla, lawyer and teacher at the Judicial Institute, as chairman of the consultative council of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, which indicated the council’s keenness to complete all efforts made at AQU to enhance cooperation with the college and university partners in order to achieve its academic objectives under the patronage of His Highness Ruler of Sharjah.
