FKPA donates AED 50,000 to Nephrology Dept of Al Qassimi Hospital

Sharjah 24: The Friends of Kidney Patients Association, one of the health support associations at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah, recently donated AED 50,000 to the Nephrology Department of Al Qassimi Hospital to support the efforts being made by the Ministry of Health to meet the needs of kidney patients and to enhance the capabilities of health facilities to serve the largest possible number of kidney patients.
This came during a virtual meeting held between the Association and Al Qassimi Hospital officials, in the presence of H.E Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Promotion Department, H.E Mariam Khalfan bin Dakheen, Director of the Friends of Kidney Patients Association, Dr. Hayat Al Mazmi, Deputy Technical Director, Al Qasimi Hospital, Dr. Suad Sajwani, Consultant Nephrologist, Dr. Shaikh Akhtar AlEman, Consultant - Head of Nephrology Unit at Al Qasimi Hospital, and number of employees and volunteers in the Association.

“The initiative comes as part of our keenness to enhance cooperation with the state’s health authorities, strengthen community support, continue our support to kidney patients to help improve their lifestyles, and promote the quality of healthcare services in Sharjah,” said Mariam bin Dakheen.

Praising the efforts being made by the Association to raise awareness of the individuals about kidney disease and to help kidney patients live with their disease, Hayat Al Mazmi lauded the SCFA’s role in bolstering the Health Ministry’s efforts to deliver comprehensive, integrated health services.
