Al Madhi affirmed that the two-day global forum – on 27 and 28 January, 2021, being held under the patronage of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and Founder and Patron of Friends Of Cancer Patients, hosts over 35 pioneering actors and global stakeholders in the field from 11 Arabic and foreign countries.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Dr. Al Madhi noted that the first edition of the Cervical Cancer Forum was held in 2019, and this year’s edition is being held in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), at which local, regional and global speakers, experts and decision-makers are hosted. Several patients and strategic partners representatives from World Health Organisation and the International Atomic Energy Agency will also have their say at the forum, including the colossal media representatives who play a huge role in curbing the spread of the disease, Al Madhi added.
Director General of FOCP pointed out that the forum will focus on early detection and prevention of cervical cancer through vaccination.
Dr. Al Madh concluded that the recommendations will be submitted of the second day of the forum which will be held on Thursday.
