Sharjah24: Putting the customer at the heart of service development, Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) hosted a Customer Experience Workshop launched by the General Secretariat of the Sharjah Executive Council designed to equip employees with the skills and innovative tools needed to better understand customer needs, enhance their journey and deliver more effective government services.
The workshop brought together teams from the Customer Happiness Centre, Strategic Planning and Quality Centre, and Information Technology Centre. Participants were introduced to approved methodologies for developing the customer experience, mechanisms for measuring satisfaction and managing feedback, and methods for enhancing service delivery channels. The workshop also included practical sessions focusing on analysing the customer journey, identifying areas for improvement and challenges, and implementing innovative solutions to develop services and enhance the customer experience.
Hosting the workshop reflects the Department’s commitment to supporting the Sharjah Government’s efforts to develop government services and promote innovation and integration among government entities, contributing to the provision of more accessible and effective services.
At the end of the workshop, participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative, which enhanced their understanding of customer experience policies and provided them with practical tools to help develop services within their respective departments. They emphasised that applying this methodology would have a positive impact on the quality of services provided to the public.
