Beach rescue sweep
The club's lifesaving athletes set the tone early, dominating several races and repeatedly reaching the podium. The standout moment came in the youth category, where Sharjah swimmers took all three top places outright. The club also picked up a bronze medal in the open competition, a result that speaks to the depth of its lifesaving programme.
Al Hosani
Rowing produced the club's biggest individual story. Hassan Ismail Al Hosani took three gold medals over the course of the festival: first place in the under-16 beach rowing championship, first place in the 500-metre individual race at the indoor rowing night for the under-15 category, and the under-16 Olympic rowing title.
Behind him, Zayed Saif Al Naqbi finished second in the 500-metre individual race, while Mohammed Ibrahim Al Naqbi took two bronzes—one in the beach rowing race for under-16s and another in the 500-metre individual event. Mayed Saleh Al Blooshi was also featured, placing fifth in the 1,000-metre individual race in the under-19 category.
A respectable showing in sailing
Sharjah's sailors added to the tally with a solid showing of their own, turning in polished technical performances that reflected how far the discipline has progressed within the club. Their results helped cement Sharjah's position among the festival's most prominent participating clubs.
Club director's message
Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, director general of Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and head of the participating delegation, said the results in Rabat were the product of sustained training and the technical programmes the club runs to develop its athletes. He added that competing abroad remains one of the most important tools for sharpening players' skills and preparing them for international competition.
