Sharjah 24: Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, visited Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled to review the activities of the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme, "A Holiday Reimagined," which launched its 12th edition a week ago and will continue until the end of July.

Programme attracts strong participation

Dr Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, said the club is participating in the "Sharjah Summer Sports – A Holiday Reimagined" programme for the twelfth consecutive year.

Speaking to Sharjah 24, he noted that the initiative has attracted strong interest from club members, particularly during the summer, as it provides meaningful activities that help participants make productive use of their free time.

Al Midfa added that the programme has so far attracted 200 participants, explaining that the first week focused on the theme "Family," while the second week is dedicated to "Artificial Intelligence Week," with two additional weeks of activities still to come.

Appreciation for Sharjah Sports Council

Al Midfa expressed his appreciation to the Sharjah Sports Council for organising the annual programme, praising its high-quality activities and the strong participation from club members and their families. He wished continued success for the initiative and everyone involved.
