Sharjah24: With the aim of enhancing financial literacy and reinforcing financial management concepts among personnel, Sharjah Police organised the second edition of the Financial Awareness Forum. The event was attended by Brigadier Dr Ali Ahmed Bu Al Zoud, Director General of the General Directorate of Resources and Support Services, along with a number of directors-general, police personnel, and representatives from government entities.

Bu Al Zoud: Financial awareness supports family stability

Brigadier Dr Ali Ahmed Bu Al Zoud affirmed that Sharjah Police places great importance on enhancing financial awareness among its personnel, stemming from its belief in the importance of financial literacy in achieving family and social stability and enabling individuals to manage their financial obligations with awareness and responsibility.

He noted that sound financial resource management contributes to improving quality of life and enhances the ability to deal with various financial challenges.

Financial planning and personal saving concepts

The forum featured an educational lecture delivered by Ousha Al Ahbabi, a certified trainer in financial literacy and personal financial planning. During the session, she addressed key concepts of personal financial management, the importance of financial planning, developing clear financial plans, and promoting a culture of saving.

She also highlighted leading practices that help individuals avoid common financial mistakes and achieve long-term financial stability, thereby enhancing financial awareness among personnel and supporting their ability to manage their financial affairs efficiently and sustainably.

Positive engagement from participants

The forum concluded with positive interaction from participants, who enriched the event through their constructive contributions and inquiries. They were also introduced to successful financial models, practical experiences, and inspiring practices, while benefiting from the guidance and advice provided to help build a sustainable and informed financial culture.
