SDTP and SCTA forge digital future through strategic partnership

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS) signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Sharjah Communication Technologies Authority (SCTA) to enhance joint cooperation in developing the telecommunications infrastructure in the Emirate of Sharjah.

This cooperation falls within the framework of the emirate's vision to keep pace with rapid developments in the fields of communication and information and adopt the latest technologies that contribute to achieving a comprehensive and sustainable digital transformation that enhances Sharjah's position as a technologically advanced urban destination.

The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of SDTPS in Sharjah. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Engineer Hamad Juma Al Shamsi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of SDTPS; His Excellency Rashid Ali Al Ali, Executive Director of SCTA; His Excellency Engineer Ali Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi, Director of the Department; and specialists from both sides.

Journey towards excellence

His Excellency Engineer Hamad Juma Al Shamsi emphasised that signing this agreement enhances the emirate's journey towards excellence in technological infrastructure. He added that the department is continuously working to provide an integrated urban environment that supports the requirements of modern life and meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency, in coordination with strategic partners in the public and private sectors.

Al Shamsi added that this step represents a fundamental pillar in supporting the emirate's future plans, contributing to enhancing Sharjah's readiness to attract investments and raising the efficiency of smart government services, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership to build modern, innovation-driven cities.

Enhancing the efficiency of technological services

For his part, His Excellency Rashid Ali Al Ali explained that this partnership reflects the authority's commitment to enhancing the efficiency of technological services and developing the necessary digital infrastructure to meet the needs of the emirate's population and economic growth. This will contribute to supporting the Sharjah government's efforts towards future technological transformation, ensuring sustainability and innovation.

Al Ali pointed out that the Authority seeks, through this partnership, to support the emirate's competitiveness at the regional and global levels, emphasising that investment in technology is the foundation for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
