Sharjah24: The Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS) commemorated the 53rd Eid Al Etihad in a spirited and celebratory environment, brimming with pride, a sense of belonging, and affection for the nation.
The event saw the participation of Engine Hamad Juma Al Shamsi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Department, alongside department directors, staff from both headquarters and branches, as well as distinguished visitors.
The celebration showcased a variety of impressive activities that highlighted national identity and the UAE’s rich heritage. These included an exhibition of traditional clothing and food, displays of handicrafts, and a documentary film detailing the historical milestones of the country, from the formation of the union to the modern Emirati renaissance.
The event featured a musical performance by the military band from the Sharjah Police Science Academy, various heritage segments, and an art exhibition organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Documentation Centre. The exhibition, drawing from the UAE's rich heritage, highlighted significant milestones in the formation of the esteemed union.
On this special occasion, Engineer Hamad Jumaa Al-Shamsi, head of the planning and survey department, emphasized that National Day is a time to reaffirm our dedication to serving the nation and to persist in realizing its ambitious vision.
He remembered the efforts of the founding fathers, who laid the initial foundations for the union journey. His Excellency underscored the remarkable accomplishments the nation has attained under astute leadership, stressing that this day serves as a chance to reinforce the values of loyalty and attachment to the cherished homeland.
