The camp will continue until September 5 and will provide theoretical and practical lectures. This is part of SSC annual plans to develop the sport and is supervised by the council's Sports Affairs and Development Department.
The camp's launch was attended by Salem Al Habsi, Head of the Talent Care Department at the Sports Affairs and Development Department. Coaches and players from various age groups from Sharjah Sports Club, Kalba Club, Mleiha Club, and Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club are participating in the camp.
The camp includes lectures and theoretical and practical training for players, seeking to benefit from foreign expertise in taekwondo. Certificates will be distributed at the conclusion of the camp at the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club.
Gilberto has a distinguished career, having been the head coach of the French national team from January 2018 to the present. He has coached the national teams of Mexico, Egypt, and Guatemala. He has made numerous accomplishments as a player and coach in the Olympics, European and African Championships, and the Military Games.
He has also participated as a lecturer at the International Taekwondo Federation in Korea. He holds a national coach certification from the Ministry of Education and the Spanish Olympic Committee.
