The announcement came during a press conference held at the House of Wisdom’s conference hall in Sharjah, attended by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Khalid Issa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, Engineer Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Investment Company, and Khawar Hussain Mohammed Othman, Founder and CEO of General Tec.
The new partnership comes as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to expand its commercial collaborations, contributing to team stability and enhancing its competitive capabilities both locally and internationally.
General Tec, under the umbrella of Green Square Electric Devices, is considered one of the leading companies in the field of home electronics in the UAE, with over 20 years of experience.
The new agreement with General Tech will run for two sports seasons, starting from the current season until the 2026–2027 season. Under the agreement, the company’s logo will appear on the front of the first football team’s shirts in all local competitions.
Engineer Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan, Board Member and Chairman of Sharjah Investment and Commercial Development, expressed his delight with the partnership, noting that it will contribute to the club’s ambitious goals and positive results in its engagements. This season, the club is participating in the AFC Champions League Elite in addition to competing in various domestic tournaments.
In his speech at the press conference, Al Jarwan said: “Sharjah Club believes that successful partnerships make the difference, opening new doors for excellence and achievement. That is why the club welcomes everyone to take part in supporting athletes, developing infrastructure, and creating an attractive sports environment.”
He continued: “Sporting success cannot be separated from economic success. Building a competitive team requires sustainable resources, and our partners are an essential part of this equation.”
Al Jarwan stressed that Sharjah Club takes pride in its partners who believe in the club’s capabilities and trust in its loyal fans, promising that this partnership will be a motivation to raise the team’s level and a driving force to achieve victories that will bring joy to the hearts of its devoted supporters.
For his part, Khawar Hussain Mohammed Othman, Founder and CEO of General Tec, extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Sharjah for its support of all kinds of sports and for providing opportunities to entrepreneurs.
He added: “It is an honour to place our name on a shirt that carries the name of the great Emirate of Sharjah, where our brand was launched nearly 25 years ago.”
Othman explained that the company aims to provide high-quality products that encourage young people to play on the field, wishing both the club and the company continued success together.
The signing of the agreement with General Tec was attended by members of the Investment Company, several department heads, media representatives, and guests.
