The event witnessed wide attendance from female members of Sharjah Police across different departments, in an atmosphere filled with pride and recognition of the achievements of Emirati women at both local and global levels. The programme featured an interactive panel discussion addressing the challenges and future opportunities for women in policing.
In his speech, His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, affirmed that Emirati women are the cornerstone of the nation’s progress and advancement. He stressed that women’s empowerment was never just an idea but a firmly rooted approach within the vision of the General Command, which has been keen to strengthen their position as active partners in safeguarding security and stability and in serving society.
He added that, thanks to God and the support of the wise leadership, women have become genuine partners in decision-making, fully capable of excelling across all fields, including policing—an area that demands high readiness and exceptional responsibility. He further noted that Sharjah Police has worked to provide an enabling work environment that considers women’s needs and supports their ambitions, allowing them to attain leadership positions and hold senior posts with competence and distinction.
Major General bin Amer extended his gratitude and appreciation to all female members of Sharjah Police, praising their outstanding contributions and affirming that women within the force have become a role model of commitment, discipline, and continuous dedication.
This celebration comes in line with the UAE’s national directions aimed at enhancing women’s status and empowering them across all sectors, in harmony with the vision of the wise leadership, which has laid the foundations of justice, equality, and equal opportunity. Women’s empowerment has thus become a strategic pathway towards building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
