Sharjah Fish Resources concludes "Future Fishermen" camp

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority recently wrapped up its "Future Fishermen" camp program, which lasted three weeks and involved students from different cities in the region. The program took place in several locations including Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, and Khorfakkan, and saw the participation of 50 eager students.

This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the environment and the fishing profession, highlighting its cultural and economic significance. It also focused on teaching students about sustainability and the importance of protecting marine life.

The program featured a variety of engaging workshops, hands-on activities, and practical experiences in a safe marine setting. This helped students learn about fishing traditions as well as modern techniques in this important field.

At the end of the program, the authority emphasized its commitment to supporting youth activities and summer programs that help preserve national identity and connect young people with the rich professions of their ancestors.
