Extensive engagement from children
The two-week summer programme, which was widely received by children, included a range of social, recreational, and educational activities tailored to children's interests, such as art, innovation, and programming. It also included various workshops on self-development, agricultural skills, and safety guidelines, in addition to interactive workshops aimed at developing participants' intellectual and creative skills.
Investing in children's time
The "Today's Children... Future Leaders" programme has become an integral part of the municipality's community agenda, given its tangible role in developing children's awareness and enabling them to invest their time during the summer vacation in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
Gifts for participants
At the conclusion of the summer programme, various gifts were distributed and commemorative photos were taken of the participants amid a festive atmosphere. They expressed their happiness with the outstanding and effective level of the programme and the efforts made for its success. All volunteer municipal employees were also honoured with certificates of appreciation and thanks.
Developing youth skills
His Excellency Talib Abdullah Al Yahyaei, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, praised the “great interaction of students and families with the 'Children of Today... Leaders of the Future' summer programme,” noting that it reflects Dibba Al Hisn Municipality's vision of developing youth skills through integrated programmes that combine entertainment and education and contribute to enhancing their capabilities. He emphasised that the diversity of activities enhances the development of a balanced personality in children and gives them the opportunity to discover their talents in a safe and purposeful environment, contributing to the development of a generation that is aware and aware of its responsibilities.
Increasing children's well-being
Al Yahyaei emphasised: “The municipality is always keen to organise such community initiatives and programmes for the children of the virtuous city, which positively impacts their happiness, well-being, and development. This is in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at making the most of children's free time during the summer vacation, in addition to raising them to lead the future.”
Thanks to All Volunteers
Al Yahyaei expressed his gratitude to all municipal employees from various departments who contributed to the success of this summer programme, which aims to introduce children to the role played by the departments of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality. The programme was carefully designed to suit the characteristics of the targeted age group of cubs and brownies.
