My Family, Secret of My Happiness: boosting Emirati family bonds

This initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships, instil the values of family bonding, and spread educational and social awareness among various segments of society. The initiative, launched on Thursday at the Council's headquarters in Dibba Al Hisn, saw a significant official and community presence.

In attendance were His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Al Dhahouri, Member of the Federal National Council (FNC) and Member of the Arab Parliament; His Excellency Adel Ahmed Alwan, Director of the Amiri Diwan in Dibba Al Hisn; and His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Parents' Council in the city. A number of government department directors and employees and parents were also present, reflecting the strong interest in these issues, which affect the foundations of society.

The initiative centred around an awareness lecture delivered by Captain Dr. Ashba Hamad Al Ketbi, which addressed a number of vital topics related to family life. She emphasised the importance of building strong bonds within the family, affirming that parents play a pivotal role in establishing a healthy family environment based on mutual understanding and support.

Dr. Ashba highlighted the need to adopt constructive dialogue methods as the foundation for conscious parenting, given its direct impact on instilling positive values in children and developing their sense of responsibility and belonging. This contributes to raising a generation capable of effectively contributing to serving their country and society with a positive spirit and advanced social awareness.

The initiative featured constructive contributions from attendees, enriching the general dialogue and contributing to the exchange of visions and experiences. This gave the session a participatory nature and helped crystallise practical ideas that contribute to achieving the desired goals of this awareness initiative.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Dibba Al Hisn Parents' Council, emphasised the importance of community initiatives that focus on family unity. He noted that positive communication between various segments of society and activating the role of partners and specialists represent a fundamental pillar in building an informed society capable of facing future challenges with its values, authenticity, and integrated institutions.
