The workshop is part of a series of development programmes implemented by the club with the aim of preparing its players intellectually, behaviourally, and skillfully.
This is in line with its vision to create an integrated sports environment that prioritises people over achievement and promotes the principles of balance between athletic ambition and human values, thus enhancing Dibba Al Hisn Club's position as a beacon of sporting excellence in the Eastern Province.
The workshop was presented by Mohammed Ibrahim Ali Abdul Razak as part of the "Integrated Player" programme, in the presence of His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Motawa, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, and a number of coaches, administrators, and players from various team and individual sports.
The workshop reviewed the concept of psychological preparation as one of the main pillars of developing a professional player, highlighting the close relationship between mental health and physical performance, and the importance of enhancing self-confidence and the ability to control emotions during sports competitions. The workshop also addressed scientific methods for developing mental focus skills, positively dealing with stress, and ways to transform stress into positive energy that supports performance on the field.
The lecturer emphasised that psychological preparation is no less important than technical or physical aspects; in fact, it represents the element that makes the difference between a good player and an outstanding one. He pointed out that an athlete's success in managing their thoughts and emotions gives them the ability to make the right decisions at crucial moments.
The workshop also featured interactive discussions between players and coaches about their field experiences and methods for dealing with difficult situations during tournaments.
For his part, His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Motawa expressed his appreciation for the efforts of those in charge of the programme, emphasising that the Dibba Al Hisn Club devotes special attention to developing the well-rounded player who combines physical strength, mental readiness, and behavioral discipline. He explained that such workshops contribute to preparing a conscious sports generation capable of competing locally and internationally with a high sportsmanship spirit.
