The championship highlights Sharjah Youth's dedication to identifying and developing badminton potential among its members. It also attempts to inspire individuals to participate in serious sporting activities that will improve their performance, teamwork skills, sportsmanship, and fair play.
Dr Abdulrahman Al Yassi, Director of "Sharjah Youth"; Salem Khamis Al Mazrouei, Vice President of the UAE Badminton Federation; Abdulrahman Al Darmaki, Secretary General of Kalba Sports and Cultural Club; and several Sharjah Youth officials and members attended the tournament.
The championship followed a single-elimination format and featured 59 matches. A total of 61 members across various cities and regions of Sharjah participated, showcasing outstanding enthusiasm and applying their acquired badminton skills in an exciting environment.
In the juniors category, Abdulrahman Masoud Al Awadhi of Wasit Youth Centre took first place, followed by Hamad Abdullah Hamdan of Kalba Youth Centre. Ali Mohammed Khalifa of Kalba Youth Centre and Hamad Abdullah Salem of Al Madam Youth Centre tied for third place.
In the youth division, Abdullah Ahmed and Mani' Shamlan from Wasit Youth Centre finished first and second, respectively. Mohammed Jamal Al Shehi of Khor Fakkan Youth Centre and Abdullah Rashid Al Kindi of Kalba Youth Centre tied for third place.
The championship recognises Sharjah Youth's efforts to develop and diversify its programs and events. Its mission is to provide high-quality sporting activities that help young people develop their skills and broaden their perspectives in the realms of athletic excellence and achievement.
