Sharjah24: In reaction to a viral video spreading on social media, Sharjah Police detained a 20-year-old Arab motorcyclist caught performing risky stunts on a public road.

The video, which rapidly went viral, showed the rider engaging in risky driving behaviour that endangered his life and the safety of others.

Sharjah Police's Traffic and Patrols Department spotted the biker quickly and initiated efforts to detain him. He faces several counts, including dangerous driving, operating a motorcycle without a valid licence plate, running a red light, and illegally modifying his bike's engine and chassis.

Colonel Mohammed Alay Al Naqbi, director of the Road and Patrols Department of the Sharjah Police, stated that such reckless behaviour clearly breaches road safety regulations. "The biker's reckless behaviour resulted in multiple significant traffic violations, and he will be held accountable under the law. Col. Al Naqbi noted that these acts jeopardise not only individuals but also the lives of other road users.

Sharjah Police emphasised their commitment to road safety, noting that they would continue to conduct public awareness initiatives and increase field monitoring.
