Courses will be held at the Centre For International Cultural Heritage Organisations in Sharjah University City from April 8 to 10. Workshops will include incense making, clothing dyeing, burqa-making, and kohl-making.
The project aims to empower women to acquire traditional skills that contribute to the preservation of Emirati society's cultural heritage, enhancing the role of women in society and highlighting their effective contribution to preserving traditional heritage. This initiative is also an important step toward activating women's societal role and empowering them to achieve leadership in this field.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, President of SIH said that the Institute is proud to launch these training courses aimed at empowering Emirati women and enhancing their role in preserving the rich cultural heritage. The initiative comes within the framework of SIH ongoing commitment to providing educational and training opportunities that contribute to the preservation and development of traditional crafts, which constitute an essential part of our cultural identity.
