Distributing 3,000 food items
The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, and aims to distribute 3,000 food items to needy families in the suburb, reflecting the council's commitment to supporting those in need during the holy month and fostering a spirit of solidarity among community members.
The initiative is part of a series of regular initiatives organised by the Council, representing a form of charitable giving it strives to uphold during the month of Ramadan. The initiative examines the conditions of needy families and ensures that support reaches those who deserve it.
"From You and To You" comes under the direct supervision of the Council Chairman and Vice Chairman, with the participation of members, employees, and the Volunteer Committee, who embody the spirit of giving and social responsibility at its best.
Supporting different segments of society
His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, emphasised that the initiative stems from the Council's commitment to providing the basic needs of needy families, as part of its charitable and social role in providing a decent living during the holy month.
Al Marri added that the Council always strives to provide support to various segments of society, reinforcing the principle of community solidarity, a fundamental pillar of the UAE's journey of goodness and giving. In conclusion, Al Marri extended his sincere thanks to the Emirates Red Crescent, headed by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Junaibi, Director of the Sharjah Red Crescent Centre, and its entire staff, for their continuous cooperation in supporting community initiatives. He emphasised that this ongoing cooperation reflects the cohesion between community institutions and charitable organisations, and contributes to the provision of quality initiatives that enhance social stability and instill the values of solidarity and compassion in society.
