SEWA implements development projects in central region

Sharjah24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed a range of vital projects in the central region from June 2024 to June 2025. The projects included extensions of high- and low-voltage networks and the replacement of overhead lines with underground cables, contributing to network stability, improved service provision across different areas, and connecting services to 108 facilities across various sectors.
Road lighting and cabling
In addition, SEWA implemented 20 road lighting projects and laid 136,181 metres of cables across the central region, covering Al Batayeh, Al Madam, Mleiha, and Al Dhaid, with a total investment of AED 105.723 million.

Commitment to quality and sustainability
Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Teneiji, Director of the Central Region at SEWA, explained that the authority continues to implement development projects in the central region, providing all necessary resources to execute the projects according to the highest specifications.

He emphasised that the ongoing upgrades in energy projects in the central region are carried out in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the continuous supervision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of Sharjah, to ensure services are delivered at high standards across all areas of the emirate.

Impact on various sectors
The authority confirmed that the network modification projects in the central region contribute to the sustainability of services according to the best standards in the commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential, and government sectors.
