At the conference, a variety of important topics were covered. These included discussions about sports contracts and what it means to have a clear intention to enter into these agreements. Participants explored how this intention affects sports contracts and how it can be communicated. They also looked into the evidence needed to support claims in these contracts and the responsibilities of each party when presenting their case in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Additionally, there was a practical examination of real cases from the CAS, along with a review of some of the most recent decisions made by the court.
Dr. Omar Bin Hanifa has been actively involved in resolving sports disputes at important organizations like the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and FIFA. He has represented various sports institutions in these cases. Additionally, he is a certified arbitrator, registered with both the GCC Arbitration Center and the UAE Sports Arbitration Center. Dr. Hanifa is also a well-respected lecturer on sports topics around the world.
