Sharjah 24: In a distinguished sporting achievement that reflects the great interest in developing emerging talents, the Sports Incubators Programme, implemented by the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation in cooperation with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, shone in the competitions of the Children’s Festival Open Taekwondo Championship.
The programme proved its pioneering role in discovering and nurturing promising talents, as the participating players from the incubators achieved remarkable results that confirmed the excellence of this project.
Sports Incubators Programme Achievements
Three female players excelled within the framework of the sports incubators with outstanding performance, as Salama Walid Ismail and Haya Mohamed Saleh from the Halwan Child Centre won two silver medals, while Faiza Adnan Ahmed from the Halwan Child Centre won the bronze medal. These results reflect the success of the programme in providing an ideal sports environment that combines professional training and continuous support to develop the physical and technical skills of the players.
Commenting on the achievements of the incubators, Noura Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, said: “The Sports Incubators Programme is one of the strategic projects that aims to discover and nurture talents from an early age, and is an essential step towards preparing a generation of champions capable of competing strongly in various sports arenas. The impressive results we witnessed today in the championship reflect our commitment to providing the best training capabilities and technical supervision, in cooperation and integration with our partners at the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation. We are confident that this programme will continue to graduate more champions capable of achieving honourable achievements that represent Emirati women’s sports.”
Gold and brilliance in various categories
In addition to the success of the incubators, the players of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club achieved four well-deserved gold medals, as Salama Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Mawar Aisha Radwan, Noon Maryam Mohiuddin, and Aysal Sharif Abdel Aal shone by winning gold thanks to their distinguished performance and high skills that proved their worth on the competition mat.
Silver and bronze medals reflect the fighting spirit
The club's players continued to present strong levels, as players Mahra Jassim Mohammed and Ghala Sultan Surour achieved two additional silver medals. Players Salama Walid Ismail, Haya Mohammed Saleh, Reem Ali Yousef, and Afnan Hani Issa also excelled by winning silver medals, reflecting the remarkable development in their athletic performance.
In the bronze category, Mazna Omar Hassan and Abrar Rashid Juma received well-deserved bronze medals from Sharjah Club, in addition to the brilliance of players Suhaila Saud Salem, Hamda Ahmed Ali, and Faiza Adnan Ahmed from Dibba Al Hisn and Halwan centres, confirming the spirit of challenge and ambition in the championship.
