Sharjah24: Sheikha Najla Al Mualla, Vice Chair of the Executive Committee for Expanding Healthy Cities in Sharjah, revealed that the Executive Committee organised a workshop on the Global Network for Healthy Cities in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of various local entities to raise awareness among coordinators about the importance of the programme and its implementation at the emirate level.
Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) organised a workshop on the Global Network for Healthy Cities in the Emirate of Sharjah, presented by Dr. Samar Al-Faqih, the Regional Advisor for Health Promotion at the World Health Organization, with the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of the Executive Committee for Expanding Healthy Cities in the Emirate of Sharjah, along with representatives from government agencies, at the Centro Hotel in Sharjah.
Sheikha Najla Al Mualla, stated that the workshop witnessed interaction among various government entities and addressed several topics, including the pillars of healthy cities and the applicable standards, which include 9 pillars and 80 standards.
Sheikha Najla Al Mualla explained in statements to "Sharjah 24" that government entities in different cities and regions of the emirate are capable of implementing 80% of these standards, in accordance with the specific characteristics of each area and city.
