Sharjah Healthy City Prgm. at Kuwait Healthy Cities Conference

Sharjah 24: Members of the Executive Committee for Expanding the Scope of the Sharjah Healthy City Programme participated in the Second Healthy Cities Conference, organised by the Ministry of Health in Kuwait, from February 10-12, 2025.

Conference overview

The Ministry of Health in Kuwait hosted the conference titled "Healthy Cities for Community Development," providing an opportunity for countries within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the region to exchange experiences. The event focused on sharing success stories and areas for joint cooperation to improve community health through collective efforts and resource utilization.

Sharjah's contributions

The Sharjah delegation made valuable contributions to the conference, with His Excellency Abdullah Al-Kadid Al-Mahrazi, Director of the Statistics Department, presenting on "Preparing the City's File and Platform for Collecting Evidence Using Modern Methods." Sheikha Dr Shatha Ali Al-Mualla, Director of Institutional Support at Sharjah Municipality, discussed "Sharjah City's Experience in Rehabilitating Parks for People with Motor Disabilities," while Shaima Al-Mazmi from the Health Promotion Department presented "The Experience of the Wazen Programme."
