The workshops, which focused on the "Dangers of Drugs and Their Impact on Humans," saw strong participation, with over 600 players from nine clubs, including Kalba, Al Hamriyah, Mleiha, Sharjah Self-Defence Sports, Khorfakkan, Al Bataeh, Sharjah Sports Club, Dibba Al Hisn, and Al Dhaid.
The workshops were overseen by the Sports Affairs and Development Department of the Sharjah Sports Council, with Ibrahim Saif bin Ghafan, the department's representative, attending. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among young athletes about the risks and challenges they face, fostering meaningful discussions among participants. The players expressed their appreciation for the valuable information shared during the sessions.
Mohammed Obaid Al-Hussan, Director of the Sports Affairs and Development Department, praised the success of the workshops, highlighting the active engagement from players. He emphasised the workshops' importance in promoting both personal and athletic growth, noting that the strong turnout reflected the players' eagerness to improve their lives and sports careers.
