Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works and its branches in the Central and Eastern Region celebrated "Flag Day" along with the Emirati people and their leaders. Eng. Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Public Works , said that celebrating "Flag Day" shows strong feelings of loyalty and belonging to our nation and its wise leadership. The day also reminds us of the important meaning of the state’s flag and how special it is to us.
The chairman stressed that commemorating “Flag Day” serves as a reflection of national cohesion and manifests the collective unity of our emerging nation. It underscores the deep-rooted affection and attachment the populace has for their homeland, while also articulating their genuine loyalty and devotion to both the country and its leadership.

The celebration featured a range of significant activities, including distributions and symbolic gifts for employees, aimed at encompassing all segments of society. Mariam Al Mazmi, the Director of the Corporate Communications Center, emphasized that Flag Day embodies the leadership’s commitment to safeguarding national achievements while striving for greater security, prosperity, and growth for both citizens and residents. She highlighted that the UAE flag was crafted with pride by the builders of this nation and is upheld by vigilant eyes that protect its interests.
