Sharjah24: The Board of Directors of Sociological Association met on Thursday at its headquarters in Sharjah, where they reviewed the organizational plan for the Wasal Center for Social Consultation, Guidance, and Training, which is considered one of the leading centers affiliated with the association.
This meeting, held this morning at the association's headquarters in Sharjah, is part of ongoing efforts to enhance social development and meet community needs.
The meeting also addressed how to establish partnerships with other institutions to maximize the benefits of the center's services, as well as the importance of collaboration with experts and specialists in the fields of guidance and social training. Board members emphasized the need to enhance efforts to achieve the center's strategic goals.
In her statement, Dr. Hala Al Abl, a board member and director of the Wasal Center, explained that the center represents a "gateway to family safety" and reflects the association's vision to be a beacon for guidance and social development. She noted that the center aims to provide the tools and knowledge necessary to build a conscious and cohesive generation that contributes to strengthening family and community ties.
Dr. Al Abl stated, "The Wasal Center seeks to offer a range of programs and training courses focused on developing social and psychological skills, enabling individuals and families to better cope with social and economic challenges." She mentioned that the center will work to meet community needs through specialized programs aimed at raising social awareness and enhancing individual and collective capabilities.
She added, "Through the implementation of workshops and guidance sessions, the center aims to promote understanding and positive interaction among family and community members. We believe that family cohesion is the foundation of community development, and therefore, we prioritize the development of programs that align with the changing needs of the community."
Dr. Hala Al Abl concluded her remarks by reaffirming the center's commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for beneficiaries, noting that the center's work will be based on principles of excellence and professionalism, contributing to raising social awareness and improving the quality of life in the Emirati community.
