The campaign seeks to donate, collect, and assemble relief supplies for the people of Lebanon, with the goal of preparing 10,000 varied relief packages, totalling 250 tonnes. We accomplish this by gathering and organizing vital material donations, showcasing the spirit of brotherhood and compassion in assisting those in need, and offering support to the Lebanese people impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The chairman of the Ruler's Office received an update on the significant initiatives undertaken by the campaign organizers and volunteers, reflecting the essence and principles of charity and camaraderie among fellow Arabs. These initiatives encompass delivering immediate assistance packages to Lebanese children and families facing hardship. He also gained insight into the mechanisms and procedures involved in packing the relief packages, which encompass a variety of food and health supplies, along with packages specifically tailored for women and children.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi closely monitored the procedures involved in packing, storing, and securing the relief packages, ensuring their optimal delivery to those affected by the current challenging circumstances. He met with the over 3,000 volunteers involved in the campaign, who are actively packing and wrapping the food parcels. He expressed his sincere gratitude to those who supported Lebanon.
The Chairman of the Ruler’s Office also visited the Children’s Corner, where the children demonstrated their support for the campaign by creating artwork in the colours of the Lebanese flag, conveying messages of solidarity to the Lebanese people.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, is directing the "UAE stands with Lebanon" campaign. This initiative is part of the humanitarian efforts by the United Arab Emirates to deliver urgent assistance to those affected by recent events, support the stability of impacted communities, and alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people.
The campaign, running until 21 October, marks a new chapter in the UAE's enduring commitment, alongside its leadership and people, to support Lebanon through all phases, particularly during times of emergency and crisis. The statement highlights the lasting humanitarian spirit of the UAE's varied community, showcasing the principles of unity and collaboration in offering assistance and support to those in need globally.
The campaign was joined along with the head of the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairman of Sharjah Charity International; Ahmed Al Mail, Director of the Social Services Department; Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International; and Lebanon's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Fouad Chehab Dandan. Additionally, several officials from charitable organisations, members of the diplomatic corps, and volunteers participated in the initiative.
