Salem Al Qasimi crowns male padel winners in Sharjah

Sharjah24: Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, the chairman of the Ruler's Office, awarded the first-place trophy to the "Beeah" team led by Mohammed Abdullah bin Hamad and Abdul Rahman Hassan Al-Hammadi in the men's padel tennis competition. This event took place within the 2024 Ramadan Sports Championship for Government Employees in Sharjah, held at the Padel Center (Padel Arena) on Maliha Street. The tournament saw the participation of 64 players from 26 governmental entities in Sharjah, showcasing intense competition and camaraderie among the players, who received encouragement from their respective government departments.
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi also recognised the achievements of the second-placed team from the Central Finance Department, comprising Ahmed Ghanem Al-Hajri and Rashid Salem Al-Kitbi, as well as the third-placed team from the Police Sciences Academy, represented by Abdullah Saif Al-Zari and Mohammed Khaled Sahouh.

In addition to the men's category, the championship featured padel tennis competitions for women, with 30 players representing 14 governmental entities. The first place in the women's category was secured by Aisha Saif Al-Zari from the Government Relations Department and Maria bin Karam from the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation. Meera Abdullah Sahouh and Alya Bishouh from Sharjah Asset Management claimed the second position, while Mona Abbas and Basma Mohammed from the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation took third place. These matches were held at the International Padel Academy in Al Rahmaniya suburb.

The padel tennis matches showcased spirited competition, with players demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship. The top three winners maintained their positions from the initial rounds, overcoming tough competition and displaying remarkable skill throughout the tournament. The championship revealed promising talents in padel tennis, emphasising the significance of individual abilities. With continued dedication and training, these players have the potential to excel professionally in the sport.
