Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has successfully established 18 complexes in the first half of this year (2024), as part of its ongoing infrastructure and development projects. This marks an increase from the 17 complexes that were established during the same period last year, showcasing the SCI's commitment to progress and growth. These complexes have been constructed in different countries as part of the SCI's global developmental aid programs. The construction of these charitable projects was fully funded by generous donours who expressed their desire to support the projects in a specific region all at once. The selection of the country for project implementation is made based on the donour's request.
The SCI is dedicated to improving the quality of life in developing countries through a range of service projects. These projects aim to provide residents with essential amenities and create sustainable living conditions in residential areas. The Sharjah Charity International is working tirelessly through its regional offices and implementing bodies to identify remote areas that are in urgent need of essential services. They are also conducting thorough studies to gather all the necessary project details for the planned complex in the area.
Commenting on this, Mohammad Al Zari, the head of the project sector at the Sharjah Charity International, emphasised the importance of the complexes as initiatives that are attractive to donours seeking to make a lasting impact through charitable endeavors that benefit numerous individuals.
He added that in the current year, there has been a 5.8% increase in the number of these complexes, with a total of 18 new complexes being established, compared to the previous half of the year where there were only 17.
Al Zari has also confirmed that the Sharjah Charity International has increased the number of these projects and regularly conducts inspection tours to ensure that the implementing parties consistently maintain them. He has further stressed that these philanthropic endeavors are undertaken only in response to donors' specific requests, allowing them to allocate their donations to their preferred projects.
According to his statement, the SCI established and accomplished a total of 18 complexes in the first half of this year, with a combined cost of 6.7 million dirhams. This included 13 complexes in Bangladesh, two in Tajikistan, two in Ghana, and one in the Philippines. The complexes were situated in areas identified as having the greatest need, as chosen by the donors. Each complex included a range of projects.
Al Zari provided a detailed explanation of the various donation methods, stressing that those interested in constructing a service complex can take advantage of the user-friendly online donation services. In addition, individuals have the option to make donations through bank transfer, and are encouraged to send the receipt to the SCI's WhatsApp number. In addition, there is a convenient donation representative service that can collect donations directly from the donour's location. To request this service, simply call the toll-free number 80014. Contributions can also be made in person at any of the association's branches.
He expressed deep appreciation to the generous contributors who supported and funded the development of these multiple charitable complex projects. He emphasised the significant impact these projects will have on the lives of the residents, highlighting their valuable contribution to the charitable endeavours of the Sharjah Charity International.
