Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has identified 5 ways for donors to submit their zakat funds, as part of the association's efforts to provide more flexibility and ease for zakat payers. All the proposed methods are characterized by ease and speed in delivering zakat amounts to the association. Zakat can be paid to the association through the website, smart link, credit card, bank transfers, requesting a representative to collect the donations, or directly at the association's headquarters and branch offices.
Ali Mohamed Al Rashedi, Head of the Resources and Investment Sector, stated that zakat funds represent an important source of revenue for the association, covering nearly 80 million dirhams annually in assistance for alleviating distress.

Al Rashedi explained that those wishing to pay their zakat can benefit from the association's website, which provides exceptional ease and flexibility for seamless and convenient donations. The website also includes the ability to determine the zakat amount owed, which is 2.5% of one's wealth. Similarly, the smart link enables zakat payers to donate through digital channels such as Apple Pay or Samsung Pay, as well as credit cards. The donation methods also include direct donations from the association's headquarters or its branches in the Central and Eastern regions, while the association also provides representatives to collect donations from the donors. Those wishing to contact an association representative to submit their zakat can call the toll-free number 80014.

Al Rashedi added that the association follows a policy of diversifying donation methods to provide the largest possible options for the benevolent to choose the most suitable means for them. Zakat funds can also be deposited through bank transfers to the association's accounts at Sharjah Islamic Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. He called on those wishing to pay their zakat to take advantage of the facilitated channels provided by the association, which ensure that the donations reach the association fully and are then spent according to their legitimate purposes.
