The workshop is part of a wide range of events, workshops, and initiatives organized by the municipality under the slogan "Our Vacation is Different." The workshop was organized in collaboration with Al-Hamriyah Club and under the supervision of Sharjah Sports Council.
The "Ana Emirati" workshop was conducted by national trainers from Al-Hamriyah Municipality and included various content to enhance the creative potentials of the participants, discover their talents, and utilize their free time with the aim of familiarizing the participants with the history and culture of the United Arab Emirates.
The workshop provided a significant space for developing love for the country and instilling values of cooperation, tolerance, sportsmanship, and self-discipline. The participants designed a decorative panel that portrayed the prominent national destinations and landmarks of Sharjah, in addition to the flag of the United Arab Emirates. This contributed to creating an encouraging environment for creativity and personal development among the workshop participants.
The workshop's coordinator, Widad Al-Katbi, explained that the objectives of the "Ana Emirati" workshop aligned with the theme of the third week, "National Identity Week," within the Sharjah Summer Sports Program. The workshop aimed to promote national identity, enhance a sense of belonging and loyalty to the country, and introduce the participants to the authentic history and heritage of the UAE through the creation of artistic panels and the introduction of cultural heritage. This helps develop awareness of the values and traditions that form the nation's identity and highlight the national achievements accomplished.
Al-Katbi added that the event successfully achieved its objectives, which included instilling authentic Emirati values in the youth, such as tolerance, solidarity, a sense of responsibility, and cooperation, highlighting its role in reflecting the Emirati identity that preserves the values and traditions of the country .
