The initiative forms part of the municipality’s efforts to enhance community quality of life and offer a purposeful recreational outlet for members of the public. It provides audiences with the opportunity to follow the global tournament and support Arab national teams and their preferred sides in a safe and organised environment that strengthens bonds of communication and closeness within the community.

Since its launch, the platform has seen strong attendance from municipal employees and residents, who have gathered to watch matches and enjoy the accompanying sporting atmosphere. The initiative includes interactive programmes and various competitions to predict match results, in addition to distributing incentive prizes to winners, which has increased engagement and created an atmosphere of excitement and enjoyment among attendees.

His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, affirmed that the initiative aligns with the municipality’s direction to enhance quality of life and build a more cohesive and interactive society through innovative community initiatives that cater to the interests of different age groups.

He added that the platform serves as a community space that brings together employees and residents in a positive atmosphere that enhances social communication and supports the concepts of social cohesion, while also providing a recreational outlet for sports and football enthusiasts.

He further noted that the initiative is in line with the objectives of Family Year 2026 by providing a social environment that brings together family members and friends in interactive settings that strengthen family and community ties. He pointed out that the municipality is keen to implement qualitative initiatives that reflect community interests and contribute to the happiness of its members.

He explained that the platform is not limited to watching matches, but also aims to leverage global sporting events to enhance community interaction and promote positive values associated with sportsmanship, fair competition, and respect for the cultural diversity embodied by this global tournament.
