Ilie Stan signed his contract with Al Hamriyah in the presence of His Excellency Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors.
The 57-year-old coach has a respectable professional career, including serving as an assistant coach for Al Ain Club in the 2000/2001 season, then assuming the responsibility of coaching a group of clubs, such as Al Seeb of Oman, Kazma of Kuwait, Al Shamaal of Qatar, and Al Tarajji of Saudi Arabia.
Ilie Stan succeeded in winning two titles in his coaching career, the first as the champion of the Romanian Second Division with Victoria Brănești, and then the Omani Super Cup with Al Seeb.
