The meeting comes as part of the early preparations made by Al Hamriyah Municipality to ensure qualitative and distinguished participation in the programme’s activities, in line with the directions of the Emirate of Sharjah in supporting young people and preparing conscious, creative generations capable of contributing to the process of sustainable development.
The meeting discussed joint coordination mechanisms between the two sides, operational plans, programes and activities that the municipality will implement within the summer event, in addition to adopting awareness and interactive initiatives and workshops targeting participants during the program period.
The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and institutional integration for the success of the programme’s activities, in order to achieve its goals aimed at investing in children’s and adolescents’ leisure time during the summer vacation, and developing their skills and abilities in a safe educational and recreational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation.
His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, confirmed that the municipality is keen annually to actively participate in the “A Holiday Reimagined” programme, based on its social responsibility and its role in supporting initiatives aimed at developing the capabilities of young people and enhancing the quality of life in society.
Al Shamsi explained that Al Hamriyah Municipality, through the various departments and divisions of the municipality, has begun preparing its programmes and specialised workshops to participate in the Sharjah Sports Summer, as participation this year includes a group of creative, awareness-raising and interactive initiatives and programmes that contribute to developing the skills of the participants and refining their talents, in addition to enhancing the values of national identity, volunteer work, environmental sustainability and innovation.
Al Shamsi added that the municipality will harness its capabilities and national cadres to make this participation a success, by offering a variety of activities and workshops that combine learning and entertainment, in a way that enriches the participants’ experience and enhances their benefit during the summer programme period.
He praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council and Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club in organising this annual event, stressing that the “A Holiday Reimagined” programme has become a leading community platform that contributes to investing in children’s energies, developing their skills, and enhancing their spirit of creativity and excellence.
