Sharjah 24: Mohammed Abdullah Al Zarooni, Director of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) Representative Office in Sharjah, confirmed that the ongoing campaign to prevent heat exhaustion and related diseases has now reached the city of Kalba, continuing its awareness and support efforts for workers.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention, through its Sharjah office, organised the 2024 Heat Exhaustion and Disease Prevention Campaign at the Kalba University Theatre on Thursday, in collaboration with several government institutions.
Al Zarooni stated that the campaign's third stop attracted around 300 workers from various departments in Kalba.
He told “Sharjah 24” that several partner agencies from the government and private sectors contributed to the campaign, aiming to raise awareness about heat exhaustion and educate workers on first aid and handling emergencies.
The campaign, with participation from the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority, the Department of Municipal Affairs, BEE’AH Company, and others, offered free medical examinations and awareness-raising medical lectures, and distributed in-kind materials to attendees.
