Sharjah 24: In support of the Sharjah Business Continuity Committee's efforts, the Sharjah Human Resources Department (SHRD) collaborated with the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA) to conduct a specialised training programme on implementing a Business Continuity Management System.
The workshop was hosted at the Sharjah Judicial Training Institute as part of ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of human resources in government agencies and ministries.

Many nominated employees from various functional levels took part in the programme. Its goal is to improve their understanding of business continuity mechanisms and provide them with the skills required to build and implement effective systems that allow government entities to secure their operations and assure the continuity of critical functions amid crises and obstacles.

Focus on crisis management and best practices

The training centred on effectively managing operations and business continuity and preparing participants to handle crises and emergencies in accordance with worldwide best practices. It includes practical training sessions and assessments to assess institutional team preparation as well as the effectiveness of emergency plans and simulation procedures.

Furthermore, the programme emphasised Sharjah's approach to developing business continuity systems and exhibited organisations that have achieved national standard compliance certification. A detailed discussion was also given on the processes for implementing and activating these systems within organisations.

Partnership and knowledge exchange

The SHRD focuses a high priority on strengthening partnerships and working with various government agencies in the emirate. This is accomplished by creating specialised training programmes that contribute to knowledge transfer and experience sharing in collaboration with relevant authorities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training content adapted to the needs of each sector.

This occupational health, safety, and business continuity training event was conducted in partnership with the PSA, the sector's regulatory authority. The initiative's goal is to deliver accurate and comprehensive content that complies with current national and international standards.

Commitment to sustainable government services

The SHRD confirms its commitment to improving the government work environment in Sharjah by producing capable cadres who can effectively address difficulties. It also aims to foster a culture of business continuity in order to provide long-term, high-quality government services.
