Sharjah 24: Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Sports Channel, announced, “Under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the second edition of the Sharjah Sports Padel Championship will take place from June 25 to 30. Organised by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s Sports Channel, the event will be held at the WPA Sharjah courts, featuring 450 players competing in three categories for prizes totaling up to 205,000 dirhams.”
The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority held a press conference to announce the details of the Sharjah Sports Padel Championship. The event was attended by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Sports Channel, along with several officials from various government departments and institutions, sponsors, and media representatives.
In statements to Sharjah 24, Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Sports Channel, announced that the Sharjah Sports Padel Championship will commence on June 25 and run until June 30. The event will take place at the WPA Sharjah in the Rahmaniyah suburb. The championship features three categories: the first for unclassified local players, the second for Gulf Arabs and foreigners, and the third for international players from Asia and Africa.
The director of Sharjah Sports Channel said that there are prizes, various events and raffles designated for fans, calling on everyone to attend and enjoy the matches.
Al Suwaidi stressed that the Sharjah Sports Channel is accustomed to organising such sports tournaments as it is in direct contact with the community, as during the past period they organised the bowling tournament, the Sharjah Sports Futsal Championship, and currently the padel tennis tournament, wishing success to all players and participants.
