Sharjah 24: Kalba Sports and Cultural Club has concluded the activities of AI Week as part of the Sharjah Sports Summer – Our Holiday Reimagined programme, in the presence of Rashid Saeed bin Freish Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, and under the supervision of Abdullah Mohammed bin Huwidan, Chairman of the Organising Committee, along with several members of the Board of Directors.

The week featured a range of sporting, cultural and technological activities aimed at developing the skills of children and young people, promoting innovation and making positive use of the summer holiday.

Sporting and mental competitions

The closing day included a variety of sporting competitions, including football, badminton, basketball, volleyball and Laser Run, in addition to mental competitions in chess and model-building games.

The activities contributed to developing the physical and mental abilities of participants.

AI workshop

The programme included a series of specialised workshops, most notably the “Designing Programmes Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies” workshop delivered by SYNERGY MIND Academy.

Participants learned about the latest artificial intelligence applications and methods for using them to develop programmes and create innovative digital solutions.

Robotics competition

As part of enhancing technological awareness, the club organised a mobile robotics competition in cooperation with the Rubu' Qarn Science and Technology Centre and the Kalba Youth Centre.

Teams competed in programming and controlling robots in an interactive experience aimed at reinforcing engineering thinking and teamwork.

Digital safety workshop raises awareness

The Social Services Department presented a “Digital Safety” workshop, focusing on the safe use of modern technologies and social media platforms.

The workshop emphasised the importance of protecting personal data and promoting responsible digital behaviour.

Empowering young people

Abdullah Mohammed bin Huwidan, Chairman of the Organising Committee, said the programme reflects a clear vision for empowering young people and creating a generation of the future.

He said, "What we see today in enthusiasm and creativity confirms that our young people are capable of making a difference. We believe in them, and every skill they acquire today is a step towards a more innovative and distinguished future. Our responsibility is to provide them with an environment that unleashes their energies and transforms their ideas into achievements.

The Sharjah Sports Summer –Our Holiday Reimagined programme continues to provide diverse activities that contribute to developing the skills of children and young people and building a generation capable of keeping pace with future requirements with confidence and efficiency.
