AQU and Ajman Department of Economic Development sign an MoU

Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University (AQU) in Sharjah signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in capacity building for human professionals and exchanging experiences in the fields of training, scientific research, conducting studies and research, and organising workshops related to all relevant topics and issues.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, and on behalf of the Department of Economic Development of the Government of Ajman, His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Department, in the presence of a number of deputy rectors of the university, deans of colleges and directors of centres and departments in both establishments.

Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf expressed his happiness at signing this memorandum. He pointed out the importance of strengthening scientific cooperation and working to develop and implement training programmes that serve the economic sector within the framework of Al Qasimia University’s keenness to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, Founder of the University, in integrating the efforts of national institutions and improving the educational process, and its progress in the fields of scientific research and the exchange of professional experiences.

His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani expressed his aspiration to build a strong partnership with Al Qasimia University with the aim of integrating efforts in offering joint training programmes supporting the economic sector, which constitutes a basic pillar in highlighting sustainable development paths in the UAE, benefiting from the academic expertise of Al Qasimia University in this field, and exchanging knowledge and experiences in this regard.

The memorandum stipulates coordination between the two sides and effective participation in the preparation and implementation of professional diplomas and training programmes in different economic fields, in addition to joint cooperation in capacity building in training and scientific research, and refining the skills and prepare employees, students and workers to be among the national professionals of the UAE.
